The term "neurosis" comes from the Greek word "neuros" which means "nervous" and "osis" which means "condition."Neurosis refers to a class of mental disorders characterized by anxiety, fear, and obsession. They are not as severe as psychosis, but they can still cause significant distress and impairment in daily functioning.
