Great changes have taken place here since our village opened its door to the outside world and the old folk's home is a good example.

　　The home was set up in 1988 as a result of the rapid development of agriculture and industry in the village. In the home there are more than 100 old people at present. The oldest is 98 years old and the youngest 68. All the childless ②old men and women in our village who are not able to work, can be admitted into the home.

　　The home provides all the facilities③ for the old folks. Clothing, food, housing and medical care are all free for them. There are color TV sets, washing machines, a reading room and a sports room. The old people can do all kinds of things and enjoy themselves as much as they like.

　　They lead a happy life in the home.
